Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Nyange mobile app, this website, and the ordering, delivery and outlet services we provide in Uganda (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or placing an order you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Nyange distributes LPG gas cylinders, refills and accessories through company-owned outlets. Through the app you can order new filled cylinders in sizes from 3kg to 50kg, exchange an empty cylinder for a filled one (“refill exchange”), and buy accessories, for delivery to an address you provide.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You sign in with your mobile phone number using one-time codes sent by SMS. Keep your phone number up to date and your device secure — activity on your account through your verified number is treated as yours.

Orders

• Placing an order is an offer to buy. An order is confirmed when it is accepted for fulfilment by a Nyange outlet.
• Product availability is not guaranteed. If your order cannot be fulfilled, it will be cancelled and you will be notified in the app.
• Prices are shown in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) in the app before you place your order, including any delivery fee for your address.

Refill exchanges

A refill exchange requires you to hand over an empty cylinder of the matching size, in acceptable condition, at the point of delivery.

The empty you surrender does not have to be the same brand as the filled cylinder you receive. We accept empty cylinders from the brands we support, and where the brand you surrender differs from the brand you receive, the exchange is priced accordingly — the price is shown in the app before you place your order. Empty cylinders of a brand we do not support, or whose brand cannot be identified, cannot be accepted.

If a matching empty cylinder is not surrendered, the exchange cannot be completed.

Payment

Delivery orders are paid in cash on delivery to the delivery agent. Walk-in purchases at an outlet are paid in cash at the counter. We do not process online payments.

Delivery

Deliveries are made to the address you set on the order. Please be available to receive your order, surrender any exchange cylinder, and make payment. If a delivery cannot be completed, the order may be cancelled and returned to stock.

Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel an order in the app while it is still pending fulfilment. Where a refund is applicable, it is handled through our support and outlet processes in line with applicable law.

Safety

LPG is flammable. Handle cylinders according to the safety guidance provided with the product, keep them upright and away from heat sources, and report any suspected leak or damaged equipment to us before use.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including placing fraudulent orders, interfering with the app’s operation, or attempting to access data or systems you are not authorised to use.

Intellectual property

The Nyange name, logo and app content are our property or licensed to us. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided with reasonable skill and care. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of Uganda.

Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms. We will post updated Terms on this page with a new effective date; significant changes will be notified in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
